Thanks.

Yeah, Kamandi is like that perfect 70's comic book sweetness that you just NEED sometimes.

Yes, it is!

I'm actually going to try and get in touch with DC comics HQ and tell them about an idea I had for a remake of the "Kamandi" series.

In my remake idea, Kamandi Blank is a 16-year-old human drifter living on Earth 225 years post-Disaster (which I want to be caused by an asteroid strike from a huge chunk of Krypton's core). After being taken in by a North American nomadic clan of survivors, Kamandi makes it his mission not to defeat the "evil" beast-man hordes, but rather to destroy the human-controlled dictatorial Luthorian Empire, to find the surviving heroes of myth, and to reestablish the JLA for a world in desperate need of some heroes.

What do you think?

Good luck, is all I can say. Sounds like an ambitious idea. You'll have a lot more luck at DC if you have published work to show.

Yep Digital coloring. But I chose from a pallet of colors that printers used in the 60's to keep it real. Here's a link to great tutorial: [link]

sweet that for the link.

How long does it take you to do commissions? say 3 head shots and 3 full bodies?

A couple days. I always prioritize commissions unless I have a pressing deadline for previously assigned paying work. As it is now, I could get started right away.

Sounds good, I like that. I'm still waiting on artist to even write me back when I paid them last year for something they said they could get done in days.

I will see how my work week goes and think about the characters I want and get back to you. I do know I want them in your more serious style.

Yeah, I hear stories about long waits for commissions. I don't get it. It's part of my business, and it's important to maintain professional relations with clients.

I can't wait to see what you have for me. I'll do whatever style you want. Looking forward to it.

Hell yes! I have a few random issues of Kamandi, and the collected editions are so hard to get hold of and expensive. Can't wait for the new release!

Yeah, and the paper they use really makes the colors look better than that awful glossy stuff they used for the archives.

Thanks, man. I like to use the old 64 CMYK color pallet for this kind of thing.
